Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Airport in Leh, which is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, you will be transferred to your hotel. 

 

On the first day of your journey, activity is minimal to allow you to acclimate to the high altitude. Relax and take it easy as you prepare for your Ladakh adventure. Enjoy an overnight stay at your luxurious hotel in Leh.

Begin your day early with a visit to Thiksey Monastery, where you can witness a morning pooja (prayer ceremony). 

Afterwards, return to your hotel for a hearty breakfast. Later in the day, embark on a journey to explore the cultural wonders of Leh. Start with a visit to the historic Spituk Monastery, founded by Lama Lawang Lotus and King Dragspa Bumlde in the 15th century. 

Later on, make your way to the iconic Shanti Stupa and visit the historic Leh Palace. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the bustling local market. Rest for the night at your hotel in Leh.

Begin your day on a high note as you take a scenic drive to a high altitude desert. 

After a wholesome breakfast, embark on an exciting journey to Nubra Valley via the world-famous Khardung-La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 feet (18832 Ft). 

 

As you descend into the Nubra Valley, you will arrive at Hundur by the afternoon just in time to enjoy a delicious lunch. The rest of the day is free for you to explore Diskit and Hunder Villages, known for their scenic beauty. Spend the night.

Following breakfast, set out to explore the Insa Monastery, a 250-year-old spiritual retreat located near Panamik Village. Continue onwards to visit enchanting Yarab Tso. Return to your hotel for a comfortable night’s rest.

Take a scenic drive through the Ladakhi countryside as you drive to Pangong Lake through the stunning Shayok Valley. This region encompasses two breathtaking valleys: Nubra and Shayok, both nestled amidst the remote and glacier-clad peaks of the Karakoram Range. Pangong Lake, one of the world’s highest saltwater lakes, is a shared natural wonder between India and China. Marvel at the lake’s ever-changing colours and the fascinating high-altitude landscape. Spend the night at a camp near Pangong Lake, situated at 14,500 feet (4,420 meters).

Begin your day with a leisurely walk around the pristine Pangong Lake. Then, make your way back to Leh, passing through the Changla Pass at 17,350 feet, which ranks as the third-highest motorable road globally. This afternoon, visit the regal Shey Palace, a poignant reminder of Ladakh’s royal heritage and erstwhile kingdom.

This morning, you will be transferred to Kushok Bakula Airport in Leh for your onward flight. Bid farewell to this enchanting land of high passes and take wonderful memories of this beautiful region home with you.
