Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu – Gateway to the Himalayas
Arrive in Kathmandu, a city where ancient temples and Himalayan energy set the tone for your journey ahead. You will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure—perhaps a gentle walk through the vibrant streets of Thamel or simply unwinding in preparation for your trek.
Day 2:
Kathmandu → Pokhara → Tikhedhunga – Into the Foothills
Take a scenic flight to Pokhara, where the Himalayas begin to reveal themselves. Drive to Nayapul and begin your trek, following the gentle flow of the Modi Khola. Pass through the lively village of Birethanti before ascending gradually to Tikhedhunga. The trail introduces you to rural Nepal—stone paths, terraced fields, and warm village life—marking the beginning of your Himalayan journey.
Day 3: Tikhedhunga → Ghorepani – Through Forested Trails
Begin with a steady ascent to Ulleri village, followed by a scenic walk through dense forests of oak and rhododendron. As the altitude increases, the air turns crisp and refreshing. Pass through Banthanti and Nangethanti before reaching Ghorepani, a charming mountain settlement surrounded by lush greenery and Himalayan views.
Day 4:
Poon Hill Sunrise → Tadapani – Himalayan Panorama
Rise early for a hike to Poon Hill, one of the most rewarding viewpoints in the Annapurna region. Witness a breathtaking sunrise over peaks such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. After breakfast, continue your trek through forests and ridgelines to Tadapani, with ever-changing mountain vistas accompanying you along the way.
Day 5:
Tadapani → Chhomrong – Into Gurung Heartland
Descend through serene forest trails to the village of Gurjung, before continuing on a relatively gentle path to Chhomrong. Set against a dramatic mountain backdrop, this traditional Gurung village offers stunning views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre, along with a deeper connection to local Himalayan culture.
Day 6:
Chhomrong → Dovan – Deeper into the Valley
Descend to the Chhomrong Khola before climbing steadily through bamboo forests and rugged terrain. Cross the ACAP check post and continue towards Dovan, a quiet riverside settlement surrounded by dense forest. The landscape becomes more dramatic as you move deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Day 7:
Dovan → Deurali – Into Alpine Terrain
Trek through increasingly alpine surroundings as you ascend past Hinko to reach Deurali. The trail narrows and the scenery transforms—towering cliffs, glacial rivers, and expansive valleys create a sense of entering a remote Himalayan world.
Day 8:
Deurali → Annapurna Base Camp – Into the Sanctuary
Ascend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp before continuing to Annapurna Base Camp. Surrounded by towering peaks, this natural amphitheatre is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. The panoramic views here are truly awe-inspiring, offering a once-in-a-lifetime sense of achievement and connection with the mountains.
Day 9:
Annapurna Base Camp → Dovan – Return Journey Begins
After soaking in the serenity of the mountains, begin your descent back through the same dramatic landscapes. The return journey offers a different perspective, allowing you to appreciate the terrain and surroundings in a new light.
Day 10:
Dovan → Jhinu Danda – Forest Trails & Hot Springs
Continue descending through forest trails to Jhinu Danda. Here, you can unwind in natural hot springs set beside the river—a perfect way to relax your muscles after days of trekking.
Day 11:
Jhinu Danda → Pothana (via Landruk) – Scenic Himalayan Villages
Trek through the picturesque village of Landruk, enjoying sweeping views of waterfalls, terraced farms, and Himalayan peaks. Continue onwards to Pothana, a peaceful village known for its panoramic mountain views and tranquil atmosphere.
Day 12:
Pothana → Phedi → Pokhara – Lakeside Relaxation
Descend on an easy trail to Phedi, followed by a short drive to Pokhara. After days in the mountains, unwind by the serene Phewa Lake, perhaps with a boat ride or a relaxing evening at your lakeside resort.
