Begin in Kathmandu with a warm arrival and a deeper exploration of the city’s UNESCO-listed heritage, including Durbar Squares and the sacred hilltop stupa of Swayambhunath. Continue into the wild heart of Chitwan National Park for river safaris, jeep drives, Tharu culture, and close encounters with Nepal’s remarkable wildlife before moving on to Pokhara, where Phewa Lake, Sarangkot sunrise, and mountain-view sightseeing create a softer, more scenic pace. The journey ends back in Kathmandu after a final flight from Pokhara, leaving you with a rich blend of spiritual heritage, jungle adventure, and Himalayan beauty.

ARRIVE KATHMANDU

It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver will meet you at the airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you check into hotel. At the hotel you will be briefed about your daily activities.

SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu covering Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Patan Durbar Square.

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square – Located in the heart of Kathmandu, this historic square is famous for its ancient palaces, temples, courtyards, and traditional Newari architecture. Major attractions include Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Taleju Temple, Kumari Ghar (home of the Living Goddess), and Kasthamandap Temple.
  • Swayambhunath Stupa – Also known as the Monkey Temple, this iconic Buddhist stupa is situated on a hilltop and offers panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. The stupa is believed to be over 2,000 years old and is one of Nepal’s most sacred Buddhist sites.
  • Patan Durbar Square – Located in Lalitpur, also known as the “City of Artisans,” this beautiful square showcases exquisite temples, royal palaces, stone carvings, and impressive Newari craftsmanship dating back to the Malla era.

After sightseeing, drive back to the hotel.

DRIVE TO CHITWAN (167KMS/APPROX. 5-6 HRS).

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Chitwan (approx. 5–6 hours), located in the lush Terai region of southern Nepal. Known for its rich wildlife and tropical landscapes, Chitwan offers a completely different experience from Nepal’s Himalayan region.

The Royal Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, is famous for its diverse flora and fauna, including rare wildlife species and beautiful jungle surroundings.

Upon arrival at Meghauli Serai – A Taj Safari Lodge, complete the check-in formalities and enjoy a warm welcome. Later, meet the expert naturalist and proceed for lunch at the Badaghar Restaurant.

In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on the Rapti River where you may spot crocodiles, exotic birds, and, with some luck, the majestic Bengal tiger. This safari offers a wonderful introduction to the wildlife of Chitwan National Park.

Later, enjoy dinner amidst the serene natural surroundings and relax under the starry sky.

Overnight stay at Meghauli Serai.

JUNGLE ACTIVITIES, CULTURAL WONDERS & RIVERSIDE DINING IN A DAY

Begin your day with breakfast at Badaghar Restaurant, offering a delightful selection of local and international cuisine amidst the peaceful jungle surroundings.

Later, proceed for an exciting half-day Jeep Safari and guided jungle walk inside Chitwan National Park. During the safari, you may spot one-horned rhinoceroses, deer, sloth bears, exotic birds, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

After returning to the lodge, enjoy leisure time with optional spa treatments or relax by the swimming pool.

Enjoy lunch at the lodge, followed by a guided village or jungle walk to experience the rich Tharu culture, local traditions, and the diverse flora and fauna of the region.

In the evening, enjoy a memorable dinner under the stars along with a traditional Tharu cultural dance performance (subject to availability).

Overnight stay at Meghauli Serai.

DRIVE TO POKHARA (168KM/5-6 HRS)

Begin your morning with breakfast at Badaghar Restaurant amidst the peaceful riverside surroundings of Meghauli Serai. After breakfast, check out from the lodge and drive to Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most scenic destinations.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at the hotel and relax. Nestled amidst lush valleys, emerald lakes, and breathtaking Himalayan peaks, Pokhara is renowned for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The city offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with a refreshing tropical charm.

In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the beautiful Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. Surrounded by picturesque hills, vibrant lakeside cafes, and stunning mountain reflections, the lake offers a peaceful and memorable experience. During the ride, enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak) and the surrounding Himalayan ranges.

After the boat ride, return to the hotel or enjoy free time exploring the lively Lakeside area on your own.

SIGHTSEEING TOUR

EARLY MORNING SUNRISE TOUR TO SARANGKOT

Early morning around 05:00 AM (or as advised by the guide), proceed for the sunrise tour to Sarangkot, located about 9 kms northwest of Pokhara. Perched at an altitude of 1,592 meters, Sarangkot offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Pokhara Valley, and the beautiful Phewa Lake. Enjoy the mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayas before driving back to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, proceed for Pokhara sightseeing covering:

  • Gupteshwar Cave – A famous limestone cave and sacred Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Devi’s Falls – A stunning waterfall locally known as Patale Chhango, famous for its underground tunnel flow.
  • Tibetan Refugee Camp – Visit the traditional Tibetan settlement known for handicrafts, culture, and local souvenirs.
  • International Mountain Museum – Explore fascinating exhibits related to mountains, mountaineering history, Himalayan culture, flora & fauna, and legendary explorers.

FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU (25MIN)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Pokhara Domestic Airport to board your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, meet and assist by our representative and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Boudhanath Stupa.

  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square – Located around 12 km east of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, also known as the “City of Devotees,” is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and impressive Newari architecture. Highlights include the famous 55-Window Palace, Golden Gate, Vatsala Temple, Lion Gate, and the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.
  • Boudhanath Stupa – One of the largest and oldest Buddhist stupas in Nepal, Boudhanath is an important spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism. The massive white dome, colorful prayer flags, and 108 prayer wheels create a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.

After sightseeing, drive to the hotel and complete the check-in formalities.
